Maral Rahmanzade
Born July 23, 1916 in Baku, Azerbaijan
1930-1933 – Studied at the A. Azimzadeh State Art College in Baku
1940 – Graduated from V. I. Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute
1964 – Awarded the title of People�s Artist of Azerbaijan
1965 – Received the Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic
1996 � Awarded the Order of Glory
Maral Rahmanzadeh�s works have been exhibited in several foreign countries, including Italy, Japan, Australia, Belgium, Syria, and Lebanon. Her work is housed in The State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow; National Art Museum of Azerbaijan; Azerbaijan State Picture Gallery; the Baku Museum of Modern Art; and in private collections in several foreign countries.
Maral Rahmanzadeh died in Baku on March 18, 2008.
