On April 10, 2018 the Academic Council of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Arts awarded Mr. Farhad Ahmadov the title of Honorary Doctor of the Academy for invaluable contribution and assistance in the development of young and talented students.

On April 10, 2018 the Academic Council of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Arts awarded Mr. Farhad Ahmadov the title of Honorary Doctor of the Academy for invaluable contribution and assistance in the development of young and talented students.

Farhad Ahmadov is a connoisseur and collector of works of art with an international reputation. His collection consists of hundreds of works of the world, Russian and Azerbaijani art of the highest level. At the same time, Farhad Akmadov is the largest philanthropist, too. For many years, he has generously invested his resources in strengthening the spiritual and intellectual potential of Azerbaijan, popularization and promotion of the best representatives of Azerbaijani art in the leading cultural centres of the world.

Farhad Ahmadov pays special attention to the support of artistic projects of talented youth. For ten years the Azerbaijan State Academy of Arts has held exhibitions and competitions with the sponsorship of Farhad Ahmadov. Their winners received opportunity to travel abroad to visit famous museums, where they got acquainted with the best examples of the world artistic heritage. Mr. Ahmadov pays a special scholarship to twenty-five most talented students of the Academy of Arts.
Invited by Farhad Ahmadov, high-ranking foreign guests visited the Academy of Arts, got acquainted with the creativity of the young artists there. As a result of these visits, foreign guests marked every time their high spiritual development. Thus, the Prince of Monaco, Albert II, specially noted that the high artistic level of the students of the Academy pleasantly surprised him.

In response, Mr. Farhad Ahmadov presented with an honorary award thanked the Academic Council for high appreciation of his activities and announced his decision to double both the number of scholars among the students of the Academy and its volume, and to expand the number of foreign travels of talented artistic youth, including to Paris and Madrid.
