Born December 31, 1927 in Baku, Azerbaijan;
1949 – Graduated from A. Azimzade State Art College in Baku;

1949-1956 – Studied at the V.I. Surikov’s Moscow State Academic Art Institute;

1959 – Member of the Artists Union of Azerbaijan;

1964 – Awarded with the title of Honored Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR;

1989 – Awarded with the title of People’s Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR;

Rasim Babayev passed away on April 24, 2007.
